About the Awards
The Awards were launched in 2008 with the following main aims and objectives:
- Raise the profile of paraplanners and the important role they play within financial planning and financial advice.
- Improve technical standards within the profession within a competitive environment.
- Lay the foundations for a professional, recognised paraplanner qualification.
- Encourage young professionals who wish to make financial planning their career.
- Congratulate and reward those who are paraplanning’s established and rising stars.
The Awards are being promoted jointly with the Institute of Financial Planning to further increase its support for paraplanners. The IFP Annual Conference & Exhibition 2010 will feature the announcement of the winner and the presentation of the Award.
The Awards
This year there will be a prize for the person who the judges consider to be The Paraplanner of the Year with a separate award for the paraplanner achieving the highest score in the technical assessment.
The awards are open to employed paraplanners as well as those working in a freelance or outsourced role.
